So, d'ya think you'd make it?

I'd give it the old college try, but I honestly don't think I have it in me to get very far surrounded by so much death and fear.

    How would you do?

Depends. If I was alone, lost everybody at the beginning, I'd be fine. I would find a small, freshwater island, not too far from shore and live like John Dorie. If I had others with me, I'm not sure I would do as well. I would be so focused on protecting others that I would be more likely to make mistakes and bad decisions.

It makes sense that the smaller your "circle", the better odds you'll have.

Or, or...just go with me on this...within a month survivors find themselves living in the new sovereign territory of DNAEBURY, where everyone refers to you lovingly as "The Governess" and noooooobody goes into your basement. Ever.

    Hmmmmm this has possibilities.

In this scenario, does no one go into my "BASEMENT" because they are fearful of never leaving or because I never sentence anyone to the "basement"

I suggest you choose your answer very very carefully

I guess it's all about the beginning and whether I would survive the initial outbreak/chaos. If we have no idea what's actually going on, we don't know to maybe stay put and not risk being bitten. If i could survive that part and figure out what zombies are, I think I'd have a chance for a little while anyway! I have my 4 year-old daughter to take care of so that may work against me and make things more difficult, but it would also give me great drive to live and survive.

I would be unable to run after my asthma medicine ran out, so I would be a goner. My guess when TWD first started was different. It's interesting to me to see my zombie survival odds changed over these years.

Forgive me, I erred. I, of course, was referring to your infamous dungeon, renowned far and wide.

It's rumored that you actually HAVE released prisoners in the past, but I don't think I've heard of anyone escaping.

I have tried to release a few but alas they all end up being repeat offenders and I have to round them up and toss them back in the dungeon LOL

Yeah. "The Rules". Your chances go up significantly if you figure out what's going on, for sure.

I think I'd do well, I have a pre-teen daughter so I would have to watch out for her safety to the fullest which is no different than I'm doing now lol

We live near a mall and plenty of food sources and would start out the apocalypse with weapons but that always changes as time goes by.

The biggest concern would be differentiating between the crack heads, meth heads, and zombies because they all kinda walk the same in my city, ya know?

Same. It's all about the beginning and not just the outbreak. You have tons of other variables working against you then. You have people that could kill you for your vehicle, food or shelter as they get desperate. That would be as dangerous as the whole zombie outbreak since every moment is really a potential threat. You could be very capable and still just hit bad luck.

I voted "dead as Ed" I'd actually survive quite well until I ran out of Allopurinol. Then it would be a slow agonizing death for me.

I'd be ok for a bit. Some food stores, decent circle of loyal trained fighter friends, some survival knowledge, no dependants to drag along, skills I can trade, fitness could be a -little- better but hey look at Eugene flying the flag for the slightly chubby a$$-kickers. It can be done. ;P

My downfall would be getting into one of those situations like Henry or what's-her-name in 'Book of Eli'....see a person needing help, fall for the lie and get ambushed by walkers or hostiles.

Isn't it funny how most people automatically assume they would be one of the few who survive the initial outbreak of whatever has been.... out-broken. Oh yeah! New word!!

I'm going to make a prediction about me....

    How would I fare in a post-apocalypse scenario? I wouldn't. I would be dead.
Would I have died in the initial outbreak? No!
"How is this possible?" you ask.

Simple. I die BEFORE the outbreak even occurs, idiots! That's how.

5 seconds later someone yells "OMG, I think there is a zombie in that Banana Republic!
