My wife missed 905, and I wouldn't tell her what happened. :p We watched it before 906 last night. Upon [my]watching a second time, I noticed something that seemed odd at my first watching, but this time I rewound and watched closer.

When Rick's hallucination with Hershel was ending, Hershel had his hand on Rick's chest as he told him to wake up (on Rick's left). If you watch the sequence carefully, for a moment when Rick is back in reality, you see Hershel's hand on Rick's chest as Rick is on the horse. I don't know exactly what it's supposed to mean (the TWD writers always do stuff like that for a reason though), but it was VERY cool!!

@92Pony I found the clip on Youtube and you're right! Then when they pan out and show both of Rick's hands, they are soaked in blood. So it's definitely Hershel's.

Yep - both of Rick's soaked in blood. Also, I tried myself to position my own hand against my chest in the same orientation, and just couldn't do it - LOL!

Maybe it signifies that rick is half in both worlds at that moment.

I noticed that too, almost like he was holding Rick up so he wouldn't fall off the horse. I just took it to mean how real it was to Rick.

I noticed this myself. I could be way off, but given how Hershel's hand was actually there leads me to believe that the loved ones Rick had encountered were real ghosts.

I like to think it was just him being half in and half out of reality.
