    I wager they'll replace Rick with Maggie. But.....

    I'll probably cancel my Sling subscription after the next episode. It's been good. Nothing lasts forever, life goes on.

    One of the biggest disappointments I have with the show - Rick Grimes promised - *PROMISED* - multiple times that he would KILL Negan, and then the writers don't allow us that resolution/closure. Rick Grimes does what RIck Grimes says! I guess that could all be salvaged if he makes his last, dying act to finish Negan. (My hopes are not high though.)

    Sadly I think you're right. Rick was always the glue that held all the ever changing characters together. None other has his strength of character, likability or physical presence which Andy Lincoln has immortalized by his performance. The others will go on but it's gonna leave a hole like no other.

    Agreed. I've tolerated it and focused on other parts of the show, but I'm disappointed by this constant obsession Rick has with believing that eventually, they will all end up holding hands and singing campfire songs. Meanwhile, Negan keeps hanging around the storyline like a tick that won't come off.

    Oh, I'll pick up episodes online, no problem. Just not worth $28 a month for Sling, JUST to watch TWD.

    I liked this scene too, and I've always enjoyed the brotherhood between Rick and Daryl. But I've argued for years that there should've been some friction between the two of them. The fight they had over dynamiting Sanctuary in S8, and the fight they had in last night's episode (which I didn't see) only serve as plot devices. :mad:

    I think my favorite Rick moment is the reunion with Judith, ushered in by Carol. Appropriately, it is an ensemble moment, since Rick shines in the center of an entire community.

    The scene where Rick has to put Sophia down. He didn't want to do it but it had to be done. That is Rick to me.

    I am cancelling my Sling account after episode 8

    I only use it to watch TWD.......and Fear, but it is still up for debate if I will return to Fear for season 5

    Anyway

    Sling, cancelled after episode 8

    THEN will subscribe to Philo in February for about 1/2 the price of Sling and keep it for episodes 9-16. And will re-up again for Season 4 of Preacher. Then cancel.

    Rinse and repeat

    I have tried it and was more like "shmeh". I am a creature of habit and I am not a fan of its interface. But since I have decided to only use it during TWD and Preacher I suppose I can live with it LOL

    Wrong side of the coin for me. For me, my favorite Rick Grimes quote/line is when Rick made Gareth the promise inside terminus.

    I did the same thing after the season 7 premier. I knew I was going to be a wreck from lack of sleep.

    I am one step ahead of you. Though I am not taking off the entire day I am allowing myself extra time in the morning - not showing up for work until around 10 a.m.

    Sent the emails first thing this morning letting everyone know!
