I'm not sure yet....this was a great episode but suddenly it became very anti-climatic to me.

The older Judith in the ending was my favorite part of the episode. Hands down.
I have a new favorite character.

She looks right in the hat. Did I see the handle of a katana on her back ? She wouldn't be tall enough to use one effectively. And, that looked like the Python, but that would be way too big for an 8 year old.

Opposite. Kind of ruined the episode for me, even more than the helicopter escape. She was ridiculous. That kid can't fire a gun and hit headshots. That kid can't be of any help to a group of what 4? 5 adults? **** that savior shit, go back to kindergarden. Where's the parent leaving her alone in the woods with swords and firearms? Stu-pid! :)

It was pretty silly to have her be able to shoot headshots like that. Would have been better if they had an adult accompany her.

But I'm okay with it because it means it is basically a reboot. Something this show has needed for a couple seasons now.

Something tells me that might be exactly the case. They shot the coda so that it appeared she was alone, but I'm going to go on a limb and guess we find out she had help with those shots, and Aaron and others step out holding guns seconds later.

Hopefully that turns out to be the case as it would be completely fine for it to be that way. In any case I don't think they needed to have her be the one to talk to them. They easily could have just had her standing by the individual that yelled at them and everyone still would have realized she was Judith.

True, but we suspend disbelief all the time to gain that type of "iconic" moment that people will talk about. Rick waking up in the hospital after several weeks, Tyreese managing to miraculously make it out unscathed after being surrounded by walkers, Carl killing Shane with a perfect head shot despite the scary and bizarre situation. Logically these things aren't always perfectly sound, but in this universe I feel they fit. I think if we find out that Aaron and others were actually backing up Judith, the scene fits with what we know of the show.

She is my new favorite character now by far.

Anyone know though why she's allowed to carry/shoot a gun? I thought there was a filming rule about children with guns. Hence the reason why Chandler Riggs wasn't allowed to have one till he turned a certain age (16 I think?)

Chandler had a gun way before that. He shot Shane in Season 2, when he was about 12.

I believe it was the automatic type weapons he was not allowed to use. because from season 2 forward he used a gun

The first time carl used an automatic weapon was in season 4 episode Internment. During the scene where Carl and Rick are picking off the walkers who have breached the prison fences

Bleh, it was good in theory but she is too young to be pulling that off...
It's like Miss Goody Two-shoes who just got done playing "house" with her doll collection earlier today suddenly decides to go out and you know, BLAST SOME SHIT and RAISE SOME HELL YEHAAA!!!!
    No.
    But ....
They have to take this in a new direction so it is possible we're seeing a revival happening.
