I am taking into account that they had six years to condense into a portion of the epi along with developing new story lines for the veteran cast and introduce new characters at the same time

The first five episodes were fast paced so it was bound to happen that an episode would come upon us that required the brakes be applied a bit.

    I am currious about Michonne's X

    And Siddiq is looking GOOOOD

    Chatty walkers

And why are the communities not working closely with one another any longer? What happened to cause the division?

Why is Daryl wearing his tent?

I am floundering for a rating. I would give it a 7.5.....to round up or not to round up, that is the question

Loved this episode. 6 Solid in a row now. Not utterly certain yet, but these could prove to be my favorite string of 6 episodes in a row since the show and myself met, in the form of Season 1.

    9.5

Very good episode, too much of dumb Eugene, and player Gabe, but otherwise pretty very enjoyable. Judith seems less of a pain in the ass than what she first looked like.

Gave it an 8, just because I didn't like the first few moments with Michonne, thought she was a little off-character.

    8 for me.

    Good
    - Fresh feel
    - Carol kicked butt
    - Judith is a good addition
    - Kingdom and Alexandria look amazing
    - Daryl
    - Jerry
    - badass Eugene
    - Ezekiel told Henry to drop the tone
    - The music teacher is interesting

    Bad
    - Playa Gabe?
    - Stupid decision by Eugene to jump that far
    - Stupider decision by Henry to run into the alley. Moron.
    - The newcomers interviews had no impact on the outcome. Also what is the point of a council if Michonne makes the decision?

    Meh
    - Negan, great actor, unclear where they are going with him.

I also rate at a 9.5 . Hate to say it, but i actually didnt really miss Rick at all. I can feel him in the others character development. Im diggin the momentum we have going on and even the comic switch-a-roos they keep throwin in. And Carol. Oh lawdy! How ive missed her so! Everyone has stepped up and i cant wait to find out what Michonne "still remembers' and how that all went down.

I might actually NEED a mid season break to take it allllll in.

Another TEN for me. I was so happy to see Michonne has another son--R.J.!!!! R for Rick, of course, but wonder what is the "J." (My Dad's nickname was RJ. :))

If I said what I especially loved about the show, it would be a synopsis of every detail, so I will spare you. lol

I give it a 9. .5 point lost the Gabriel/Rosita pairing-Not feeling it at all. Another .5 gone to Carol's hair. Just cant and wont ever get used to it.

Best moment: Judith punking Negan with her sassy comeback and not buying his bull.

6 reviews in on Rotten Tomatoes and it stands as 4 fresh and 2 splats bringing the episode in at 67% (10:50 a.m. 11/12/18)

In case you are wondering the splats are from
Alex McLevy (AV Club) who also gave episode 5 a splat
Jeff Stone (Indie Wire) who also gave episode 4 a splat

Gotta say that I have yet to think of an episode this season deserving a "splat" rating

Will be interesting to see where it goes throughout the week

Too confusing, new characters who I dont understand, I hate the universal suspicion of the communities, daryl split, and the ****ing deaf girl! God!

No, I don't have anything against deaf people, but why on the show? How will that help or make it interesting?

Are they TRYING to get cancelled?

So I will end the suspense.

The episode is not without its flaws and I am still rolling my eyes over the Daryl leaves the tree walker alone when he notices the bird getting walker farmed worms for the baby birds - talk about heavy handed...the episode lost .5 points for that alone.

All things considered I give the episode an 8

What does being deaf have to do with it? Do you not think that deaf people can survive?

And your second sentence that followed the "***ing dead girl!". Whats wrong with you??

Ill sum up your last paragraph. As for the "why on this show". Because people are just people whether they are blind, deaf, never shut up, shy, green, purple, black, white, write dumb posts on a fan forum, etc.. And it makes it interesting because being deaf and surviving to THAT point, that far into the apocalypse means she is one bad-ass survivor and definitely someone I want to see more of.

Just like Michonne we have seen that the bridges are burnt.

    I think too much
Agree with all points. I'd add under Bad - Michonne basically saying "Well I don't trust you enough to let you stay here but let's take you to Hilltop.

Does Michonne not care if they murder everyone at Hilltop or something?

He started out as a little comic relief, sure. But I like the way he's being developed...I think we'd see a lot of Eugenes in the world if it ended.

Leeches? That guy would be long dead in a real apocalypse, not only is he too stupid and weak to take care of himself, but he's such a wuss that he can't stay loyal to anybody. Either died by tying his shoes together and tried running, or killed by one of the many people he double-crossed.

Weakest character still alive, and I really don't like Tara and Gabriel.

I think he was loyal to his people, but scared shitless. I was frustrated with it at times, but just don't hate him for it...he's not a Daryl or Rick and it's unrealistic to think everyone should be. Most "eugenes" would probably be dead, you're right...but not ones who use their brain to survive, whether that means lying, switching sides, and being a chameleon of sorts. It's what he was used to doing to survive just like others have their own means of surviving. In the end though, his loyalty trumped all of that.

Tara grew on me after a little while.

Gabriel I like, but don't have strong opinions about either way.
