Yes, I wish they had pushed the scene with Gorman more because I think that it would have made the story more compelling and would have given her a reason to be so angry and want to fight back. Right now we are going into a MSF barely knowing the antagonist isn't because instead of developing Dawn they spent too much time on Beth

Mostly out of fear of the direction that the show could take if they decide to cater to the Bethylers. I watched 4 and a half season of good character development with Daryl go down the toilet during those two epiosdes and I don't want to see this show focusing on some sappy romance that makes zero sense for either character just to boost merchandise sales. I blame the quick death of the Termites on the writers wanting to get the focus on Beth faster and that story had actually reminded me of why I love the show again. She's a terrible actress that isn't capable of selling the kind of development they are asking her to. Her development feels rushed and this new found toughness doesn't fit with anything we've seen before from her. They have held back a lot with the hospital story out of fear of being offensive to her following.
