But the end of an era is upon us

Everyone must have a favorite Rick moment. A favorite Rick speech. A favortie Rick mannerism.

It takes me all of .0001 seconds to recall my favorite Rick moment.

"I hear Nebraska's nice" and the one sided shoot out that follows. THAT was the moment Rick became Rick MF Grimes.

Speeches? There are so many good ones. But I do love the one where he tells his band of misfits "this isn't a democracy anymore"

And of course the Rick head tilt. That is classic!

The way Rick aims his Colt Python has also become classic.

This is a very little thing, but its one of the attention to details that made me fall in love with the pilot. After Rick leaves the hospital and shows up to find his house abandoned, he gets down on the floor, and kind of pats the floorboards and looks at both sides of his hand, trying to determine if this is real or a dream. It was these little Darabont touches that brought magic to the show.

YES!! That scene is amazing. Of course I could see it being an Andy touch to that scene. Will be interesting to see what he brings to the table if he does actually direct an episode next season

Favorite Rick moment was when Pete killed Reg. Everybody freaks out and gasps, Abe jumps into action.

But Rick hardly reacts, the way he positions himself and just observes the situation. This is a man who is prepared for anything and expects everything. He wasn't shocked, he expected this to happen.

The season 5 finale is where TWD ended for me.

Rick drops the dead walker in front of the shocked Alexandrians, and promises he'll teach them how to survive in this world. Pete the Porch Dick is killed (at the cost of Reg, should've been Jesse), Daryl and Aaron make it back to Alexandria, and reunite Rick with Morgan, the man who saved him way back in the series premiere.

    Great thread!

Agree with everything mentioned, and a standout for me was when they were imprisoned in the train car at Terminus and Rick closed the season with "They're screwin' with the wrong people...".

This stands out for me, because I was surprised and pleased that on the DVD release Rick...um...didn't say "screwin'". He used that other word, and it was soooooooooo much more fitting.

My first all time favorite Rick moments was when Rick finds Lori and Carl at the quarry, the last thing he expected was to find them when he got there. Such a good scene.

Rick underneath the tank was the original dumpster scene.

This is one that I’ve brought up in previous threads as one of my all time favorite Rick moments.

Indeed. This was such a powerful moment and it was only the 3rd episode of S1!
And it's still in my top 5 of favorite TWD moments.

"We didn't wanna waste the bullets" .... "Besides....I already made you a promise."

My favorite by far. Love how he points the gun at Gareth then lowers it.

That's just shitting, I knew Andrew Lincoln was leaving TWD but it was a crappy way to go. I was expecting something far more spectacular and cool and drawn out, not some horse rearing itself and throwing the big bad Rick onto a dang piece of rebar.

There was still plenty of room for the horse to run out, with Rick on its back. They are kidding with me there, lets pretend I am dumb enough I didn't see it, suspend disbelief I think is the word.
It was shitting, what I call it, there's nothing pretty or funny or beautiful about shitting.
It stinks, it's brown, you wipe and then you flush it.
That's what it feels like to me, what they did to Rick.
At least he's dead, no guessing around between seasons about dumpster Glenn moves.

Nebraska scene is probably my #1.

Also when he mercifully put down Sophia.

I still hope they find a way to leave the door open for a return.

This show will not survive with Daryl and/or Negan as its leads. And maybe that's a good thing.
